Review by hotel critic
Our recent New Year escapade at the Sonnenalp in Vail was simply spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the hotel’s Bavarian charm transported my family into a winter wonderland, and I couldn’t help but grab my camera to capture the cozy architecture. A highlight was the ski concierge service, which was unbelievably convenient, allowing us to hit the slopes within minutes—perfect for our family of adventure seekers! Every evening, we were treated to homemade cookies, a sweet touch that warmed our hearts after a long day of skiing. The breakfast buffet at Ludwig's was a hit with our daughters, who couldn’t resist the tempting pastries and hearty options, fueling them for the day ahead. I also appreciated the multiple dining spots on site, offering a range of atmospheres from lively to intimate—the ideal setting to unwind after our daily adventures. The Sonnenalp truly made our New Year special, combining family bonding with exceptional hospitality in a breathtakingly beautiful setting. We'll cherish these memories for years to come!
